Whether you’re interested in history, culture, or simply soaking up the sun, Andros is a must-visit destination.

Andros Island is a picturesque destination located in Cyclades. The island’s capital, Chora, is a charming town known for its neoclassical architecture and winding streets. Visitors can explore the town’s many museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art and the Archaeological Museum, which houses a collection of ancient artifacts from the island.

Golden Beach, Agios Petros Beach, and Zorkos Beach are amongst its most beautiful beaches. Batsi, a popular seaside village on the west coast of the island, is another must-visit destination. Batsi offers a range of restaurants, cafes, and bars, as well as a picturesque harbor and stunning views of the Aegean Sea.

The island is a hiker’s paradise with a network of well-marked trails that crisscross the island’s rugged terrain, offering spectacular views of the Aegean Sea, lush valleys, and traditional villages. The island boasts over 160 km of hiking paths that vary in difficulty and length, from easy strolls to challenging hikes that require stamina and good fitness. Some of the most popular trails include the ancient path from Andros town to Apikia, the route from Stenies to Giali Beach, and the path that leads to the lighthouse of Tourlitis. Hikers can also explore the island’s numerous waterfalls, streams, and springs, as well as the historic monasteries and churches that are scattered along the trails.
